No appetite can't stop losing

I'll try to be brief.  I am seven years out.  I decided to lose a few more pounds by cutting out simple carbs and it worked.

On Feb 20 I had a very successful hip replacement.  On March 13th.  I had a stroke.  For a while food got stuck a lot.  I am now fully recovered, but I have no appetite.  I do not want to lose any more weight.  I feel weak.  Any suggestions?

Wow! It has been a rough start of the year for you, but I'm glad to hear you're recovering well!

As for having no appetite..I wonder if you can find a protein/meal shake that you can tolerate just to get in the calories so you don't lose weight and so you can get in the protein for energy, and also Ensure or one of those meal replacements so you are getting enough vitamins and minerals until your regular appetite returns?  Good Luck with everything.

eat more?  adding some carbs to your diet will make you more hungry - and restore the desire to eat.  Whole wheat crackers with cheese, some quinoa, some fruits.
If you can tolerate yogurt - chose one that is full fat, add some proteins and some fruits.
Good luck.

Thanks.  Fresh and dried fruit sounds appealing.  Apple slices with peanut butter sounds goood.  you have got me thinking. Loris

You have to think of it like a job. Set your timer for every 3 hours. Eat something or drink a shake even if you are not hungry. Fake it until you make it. You have to build up your strength to get healthy and strong again and you need to eat to do that.

Good idea..   I can eat by my schedule, a snack when I get up, a snack when DH leaves for work...
