6 month anniversary
RNY on 02/22/12
WOW, its been 6 months today since surgery and a total of 71 lost since the day of surgery. A grand total of 110 pounds lost since preop diet started on 11/21/11.
It has been an experience with some great highs and a few frustrating times. My weight is stair stepping where I will lose 4 pounds in a week and then go up and down a couple the next week, with no changes in the diet. I am averaging about 8-10 a month which is pretty normal now. I can eat better and drink bigger sips which is a great relief for me.
It has been a rollercoaster of a ride but so worth every minute. I have met numerous friends on here and that has been a tremendous support system.
Only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. So much more energy and sleeping well, medications have been discontinued or greatly reduced...
I am proud of my efforts and commitment. For those considering do this, it is hard work a major change in lifestyle but worth every effort required. It was the right decision for me and I know it will be for you as well.
