Hello everyone! I am one month post-op and down 61 pounds from the beginning of this journey!  Yay ME!  I need some suggestions on getting the full (or close to) 64 ounces of liquid required each day.  I feel that all that I do it drink and watch the clock to make sure that I am also eating something. I want to continue to be successful without the need to go in for a bag of fluids! lol Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

In the morning I make a 1/2 gal pitcher of crystal light
and I try to drink it all by 1pm.
By doing this it helps me no****ch the clock and
also keeps me from washing meals out of my pouch later in the day.
I spend my afternoon and evening trying to get in all my food.
This also keeps me from getting up in the middle of the night to pee.

I have a 20 ounce glass of water with me at ALL times no matter where I am so that I am constantly drinking. I know that I have to have at least 3 of them each day. One before lunch, one before dinner and one before bed. A little extra somewhere. You will get used to it? Keep plugging away. You are doing great!

I wake up about 730 daily I immediately grab a 16.9 oz bottle of water. I drink it while I wake up and get ready and if it's not gone before I leave for work at 830 I take it with me and have it finished when I walk into work at 9. I then drink my protein shake and open my second bottle of water. I finish at least half by lunch time although I try to fini**** by lunch at 12-1. I eat lunch and wait an hour and then either start back with the one from before lunch or I start number 3 bottle. I finish this by the time I get off. I grab number 4 and drink it on the way home up til dinner. I stop for an hour then fini**** before bed and sometime I get my 5th in before bed if I'm up a bit later like tonight or really thirsty from what I had for dinner.

I found set times for eating and set goals for when I need to have my water in by works for me. Of course I've never had to "sip" I came home drinking like preop so it made it easier to drink faster at times.

Carry a drink around with you everywhere.  If you forget to drink, set a timer to remind you.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I am up at about 6:00 each morning and have a 3-year old. I also work and while I can drink all day, I find that I don't get enough in. While at work, I tend to focus on my work (I'm an investigator). I guess I need to find a balance between work and living after WLS. I think I am going to try setting a timer on my cell phone and my calendar on my work email. Thanks again.
