Milk of Magnesia advice?
On post op advice nurse suggested taking a shot of Milk of Magnesia.
Questions:
-do I mix it with anything or just shoot it?
-how quick does it work (not like can race to the bathroom right now)?
-by shoot...1 tablespoon, 2,3?

The adult dose is 4 Tablespoons. You don't have to mix it with anything. You can drink water afterwards to wa**** down. It usually starts working anywhere from 2 hours to 12 hours later. It just depends on how your system works. I usually take it before bed and by morning I'm "good to go".
4 tablespoons and you need to drink 8 oz of water with it I try to get that 8 in within the hour. If I don't my mouth gets dry and I start to feel dehydrated. It may or may not work with one dose. If you are really constipated and need to go you can take a dose every hour or two until you go but be careful once you go you may not stop for a bit. I take it before bed each night so I can go before work in the morning. I unfortunately am MoM dependent I don't go without it.
