I have been feeling pretty anxious about hearing back from the surgeon's office regarding insurance.  I just realized what this anxiety feels like, it is that same feeling I get when I am waiting to hear back about a job interview.

Very true!  I called my insurance twice and on each occasion they told me that WLS is covered and giiven my BMI, comorbidites are not even needed.  I am just waiting on the surgeon's office to call in and get that information so that they can schedule my first consult.

I have no patience I called my insurance and knew before the doctor that I was approved. I couldn't stand the wait.

I am in the beginning process and have been just doing a lot of research, but what is the minimum requirement for most insurances for them to approve the procedure? I don't have diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure or any of that, but I am obese...is that enough to get approved? I don't want to get my hopes up high just to be shot down...

how do you think I feel?! I'm still waiting and I work at the hospital that my surgery is going to be at! Good luck to you.
