How many calories do you normally burn at the gym?
I've been going to the gym 3-5 times a week now for several months. I usually burn between 450-500 calories each time I go. I usually do a lot of cardio, elliptical, treadmill, bike or I will do one of those & the weight machines. I'm usually there 1.5 hours to 2 hours each time. Just curious what others are averaging.
Keep in mind that your results will vary.
DH and I are going 5 times a week. 20-30 minutes cardio (recumbent bike set on "random hill" at level 7 or 8) and circuit weight training (3 sets of 15 reps with 15-sec rest in between sets) for 8 or 9 exercises, and 5 minutes or so of post-exercise stretching. We will be there around 1:15-1:20/day/
According to my chest-strap heart monitor, I burn between 750 and 1000 calories, depending on what exercises I do on any given day. The average is about 770-880.
