finally an introduction!

I've posted a couple of times in the past few days about some issues I'm having (Eek, suddenly I'm having RNY instead of VSG!  Eek I sprained my ankle!) but I wanted to take a moment to just say hello and introduce myself.

I don't have an official date yet, but barring any unforeseen difficulties, I should be having surgery (RNY) in less than 3 weeks.

I have this blog (link in my sig) where I've written intermittently about my weight loss attempts over the years, and now I plan to use it to chronicle my WLS journey.  I've got a post up here with a bunch of detail on what I've been doing pre-op: http://therightsize.wordpress.com/2013/05/23/lots-of-steps-forward-but-one-step-was-ouch/

I'm more excited than nervous.  Heck, I'm even looking forward to getting my official date so I can start my darn liquid diet.

I like talking to people on the Internets so you might see a lot of me around these parts. :)
