has anyone had their surgery (sleeve) done recently by Dr. Pompa?

 

Not me!  I knew better.  She makes HUGE sleeves.  Other doctors have to redo them.

BTW, I believe the only people that ever really go to her anymore are Canadians, they tend to get sucked into massive prices by a coordinator there.  Avoid Tijuana, Juarez, and Monterrey.  They aren't safe and there really aren't any super skilled surgeons in TJ anyway.

Really, so where is the best place for a canadian to go?

 

There is a coordinator in Canada that sends everyone to Pompa and she seriously jacks up the price by several thousand dollars, around $5K USD.  That is why you always just go through the surgeon's office, you NEVER use a medical tourism company.  It just costs you more money.

If you PM me I will give you the names of a few doctors throughout MX that are known on these boards to be the best.  Just avoid Tijuana, Juarez, and Monterrey.  Monterrey really has an excellent surgeon there but it's just sooooo dangerous there now.  Too dangerous for a non Mexican citizen to travel anymore.

Check out Dr. Alvarez or Dr. Aceves.  They're both very highly rated.

I would strongly recommend Dr Aceves.  A bit more expensive but uses a state of art hospital.

does anyone have any thoughts on Dr.Valenziela?

Jennifer L recently had surgery with Dr. Valenzuela in Tiajuana and is very satisfied with her experience.  Is that who you meant?  Jennifer has been tracking her experience on instagram as well as posting here, so you can look her up for more info.
