We are not aware of any restrictions concerning sleeping in your own bed or stairs. Check with the surgeon to be sure

Hey. My house has 4 floors and a total of 54 stairs! I slept in my bed straight away and went between floors often, just not carrying anything. For me. It was a non issue. Good luck!

Slept in my own bed as soon as I got home from the hospital.

My bedroom was on a different floor from the kitchen/living room...and while I didn't go up and down often, I did at least twice a day. I tried to go up and down as little as possible but still go up and down. Most of my walking was up and down the hall AND to the bathroom.

I slept in my bed since day 1 at home.  I leaned against pillows to get me close to the position of stomach sleeping.  For stairs, I was told to go downstairs once and upstairs once for the first week, so plan accordingly.  I know of several who basically resided in a recliner for a week.

Stairs were no problem.  It took me 5 weeks to be comfortable in bed.  I slept in a recliner propped up with pillows.
