I did switch surgeries. Started out with a band and revised 5.5 years ago to a sleeve. Hated the band, love my sleeve.

Yanno - I was all ready to jump into getting a RNY when I got promoted at work and decided to prove myself to them before I asked for medical leave. I'm so glad I did, because it was that 6 month wait that kept me researching and I found the DS. I'm 8 years out now and still loving it.

I had the band which was a nightmare with all the complications. I had the opportunity for a revision so I did my homework. The DS was the best choice for me considering my size, co-morbities, need for NSAIDS and stress eating issues. So Yeah when I had the band I wished for another and my wish came true. I love my DS and I am happy with it.
