10 days out vsg & heart burn ?

I have no clue on what i should do... I just had my vsg ten days ago and i haven't had a problem with heartburn, but this morning i woke up feeling a bit icky.. What should i do?

Call your surgeon and see which PPI/acid reducer he recommends.  Then take it!

My surgeon says that with VSG, heartburn early out is usually due to swelling and will go away in the first 6 months as your pouch matures. I get heartburn, but with me it's usually an allergy issue when that happens and I know I ate something I shouldn't. I haven't had any terrible heartburn issues since my sleeve on the 4th, knock on wood!

Occasionally, with VSG, heartburn and GERD are just a thing and you have to take a PPI. In that case, ask your surgeon what he recommends.
