Is unflavored protein really unflavored?

I had VSG on 3/3 and I am not meeting my protein requirements at all.  I need to order unflavored protein, which one is the best syntax nectar or unjury?  Thank you in advance:)

It is unflavored but that does not mean tasteless.  It still has a protein flavor.  Unjury is pretty neutral, but some unflavored ones are slightly sweet which can ruin your food if you add it to something savory like soup.  I have never tried the Syntrax unflavored.  I would try samples before you buy a whole tub of anything.

Unflavored means they don't add anything to try and make it taste like chocolate, or chicken soup, or whatever. But it still has a taste, just the natural taste of whatever is in it, such as whey.

Most powders need to be mixed with milk to taste decent. The syntrax nectars mix with water, and are a good change, such as lemonade, or fruit punch.

I can't speak to the syntax.  I haven't tried it.  but Unjury does not flavor the food.  I have used it for 3 years and never tasted it in anything.  and my labs have remained good those 3 years.

I think this is a matter of personal taste.  I also use the Unjury, however, to me, it definitely flavors the food.  If I add much at all, I certainly can tell it.  A few times I have added too much and haven't been able to eat or drink the result.

It is definitely worth a try for the OP!

Try some strategic eating instead.  Ricotta cheese, for instance, is loaded with protein!  It has 7g in a tiny 1/4 cup.

Also, I found that egg-white protein isn't nearly as offensive with after tastes.

Thank you Valerie!  I purchased the ingredients for the ricotta bake today.  I have 1 more week of fluids, then I hope it will be easier.  I have soooo much to learn.  This new life is sure something to get used to.

thank you,
