I have my surgery date and will go for my consult for pre op soon.  I have to start Optifast on April 22 and will have to get it home from Toronto.  Does anyone know if it is okay to fly under the guidelines with the optifast on your person or in your luggage. Any help would be appreciated from someone in Northern Ontario.

Thanks Slim Sault

If you are concerned, can they just ship the Optifast to you???

i can't imagine it being a problem, unless it puts your luggage overweight ... It is powdered in sealed packages and boxes, I believe.

Good luck.

Kath

I carry pre-measured ziplocks of protein powder when I travel.  I've gotten a few TSA inspections but never any hassle. Vanilla protein powder in small ziplock bags seems to get attention, but I never notice it until I get to hotels and find the notice in my luggage.
