New, Lupus & Surgery.

hello. My name is Dotti. I'm 24 5'3 & 261 pounds. I have Lupus and a kidney disease. I was wondering if anyone with lupus has had surgery. Also do I weigh enough? Thanks!

Considering how young you are and the medical condition - need for medication - if I were you I would only consider VSG - the sleeve - restrictive surgery, without any malabsorption.  

You BMI is over 40 so based on that alone - you qualify for most insurance that covers WLS... 

But you need to check with you own insurance to make sure...
