Changing insurance mid stride

So my wife and I have started the 6 month program with Spectrum Health in GR Michigan. We are currently on her insurance but she maybe changing jobs. So we are thinking of switching to my shops insurance. I was wondering if anyone here changed during the 6 months and if so did the new insurance make you start over or not?
