Insurance pays for Protein?

I see the pop up ad that says get insurance to pay for protein shakes.  Anyone successful at that?   

My friend was (BCBS) but I was not.  It's worth a shot..

What is BCBS?

I'm in the process of applying.  Filled out the form on the computer, got an e-mail back saying my surgeon has done what he had to do, and now I have to call them because they need additional info.  I've got my fingers crossed too!

I have applied for a liquid protein drink called premier protein, and my back is something in my insurance will cover it. I made a phone call to my insurance, and as long as the doctor asks for it to be preapproved they will cover.
