My surgery date isn't until June 30, 2014 and I have dropped 25 pounds.  With the weight loss, I am anticipating a new wardrobe, but I am on a budget.  I was looking for a plus size thrift store in New Jersey, but the only one that I could find was 2 hour drive away.  Are there NJ/NY/PA people who would like to do a clothes swap?  I have a lot of career wear (size 22/24).

I noticed that no one has answered you (other than that spammer) -- so I wanted to share with you what I have done:  I have dropped a total of 6 sizes.  I don't have a lot of extra money to toss around to buy clothes that aren't going to fit in a few weeks.  I tried finding plus sized consignments, but unfortunately, they are very difficult to find in decent shape.

I started listing lots of clothes online on eBay.  I sold all the 30/32s first, then the 28s, the 26s, 24s and now the 22s.  I made over $1500 AND cleaned out my closet.  It's pretty stark in my closet: I have 3 pairs of pants and 4 shirts that fit.  Seriously.  However, I use that money to buy clothes to get me through and my protein shakes and vitamins.

Thanks Katheryn:

I thought about Ebay, but I would like to try things on.  I know I have an interview and an awards dinner to go to and the size 20 suit looks beautiful.  One the jacket fits and the skirt is tight.  The Salvation Army did not have my size and Goodwill like you mentioned did not have a lot nice things.  I do not mind what I wear at home, but work I am a bit fussy.  I thought with weight loss surgery I could find some people to swap with.

Thank you.
