Gallbladder removed??

who has had to have there gallbladder removed post gastric bypass? did they do it laparoscopically  or had to do it open?

I'm sure it would depend upon the situation;  if there is a choice I know surgeons go for laproscopic surgery because the post-op healing is so much easier.

I had a DS 6 years ago.  My gallbladder was removed lap 19 months post-op, and I left the hospital 28 hours after being admitted.  I returned to my sit-down work 11 days post-op with some restrictions outlined by the surgeon for the next 5 weeks or so.

Has not weighed myself since 1/2010.  Letting my clothes gauge my progress instead.

I had it done when I was 10 months post op and it was lap.
