"Family by the Ton" show

I noticed that show and started recording it. The latest episode shows shot not to do if you want to lose weight.

If anyone doubt that within first year post op you can start gaining weight even when you think you are doing 80%- 90% on plan (wishful thinking) , please watch this show. S2 E8

All of them are really big and have a lot of weight they need to lose. But they are not doing what they need to. This is very sad to watch. I bevne been anywhere close to their size, but being 100 over my ideal weight, I remember the problem with walking, fitting into tight spaces.

If anyone is serious about their diet and the need to follow good eating 100% or at least 99% at a time.

I watched it from the beginning. They're not a good advertisement for WLS

They are advertising what not to do. Ugh.

I jus****ched the last family and was surprised how the family is not very supportive and sabotage each other. I noticed Dr. Now is now making counseling an important part of the process. I think all these shows need to do so. WE know you need to get it right between the ears before re-arranging your plumbing. Not to mention the dynamic going on when an entire family is obese. Need to record the new season....

What is good though beside Dr Now there is another clinic in Atlanta that starts working with MO people. And this country, USA, need a doc in the south. Atlanta is big enough and people can get help. But they need to want it.

Also - this show doesn't have the shower scenes. The other show, I can't imagine how horrifying can be for the SMO people to have to undress and take shower I front of the crew that is filming them. It am rather sure that some people who may want the surgery would opt-out because of the showers. I don't get why they need to show them getting naked and taking a shower.

OMG! I know right? Why do they always have to do the shower scenes? If it's suppose to show us how badly they can't function duh we get that without the skin show.

What clinic in Atlanta are you speaking of?

"The family by the ton" lives in Atlanta and use a doc there. I think his name is Dr. Charles Procter Jr. and all of them had surgery in ATLANTA. The doc is not bad looking, and mid age, so hopefully he will last a while. .

I agree. The shower scenes are so demeaning. The worst was that poor woman who was naked on her front porch being hosed off by her husband. This is exactly how the we used to hose off our dog. I cried when I saw that one.

I think she was on the back porch... either way that scene alone got me thinking so hard about my future. It had already been hard for me to get out of the tub... wasn't going to let that be my next step. I'm so glad I chose to move and better myself.
