Blood Work Precautions

White Dove, I am allergic to needles.. My veins are fine til the first stick, if they do not get it, too bad, th veins run and hide. LOL.. My DH went for labs at local hosp. /routine. called to alert would be coming....temp check at door escorted to an empty room for a signature, down an empty hall to back lab entry( routine) Lab tech was required to wear 2 masks. for a 1 min. procedure. costs for increased precautions =doubled... has to do it again within next 2 weeks.... delaying because of cost increases.. his choice.

Having veins hide would be really hard. I have had them withdraw from my wrist or the back of my hand and that hurts much more than in the elbow.

I am so glad that hospitals and clinics are following precautions.
