I had a laproscopic RNY yesterday and am home now. I am on the see through liquid diet at this point. But my stomach has this weird concave thing right by where my port was. Is this normal or should I be freaking out? Well, I am freaking out....any input would be great

My left lower incision was pulled in a lot and created a huge divot in my stomach. Remember you're swollen from surgery too so it accentuates where they pulled you in with stitches. It took about three to four weeks for my divot to go away and swelling to alleviate. I'm almost at six weeks and still tender but much less swollen.

thank you! I hadn't really seen everything until I got home and was changing my shirt, kinda freaked me out! Otherwise I am doing great, feeling like I am having a good recovery so far.

I had three large divots where they made the small incisions -- and it looked horrible!  I really thought they would never go away -- and my husband was a bit freaked out worried that something was wrong there.  But, it was totally normal.  Also, I am happy to report, 14 months later you can barely see where my scars are!  No worries!

Yes, I had one that was a particularly big divot. Can't even see where it was anymore.

Yep... VERY common after any kind of surgery.  When I had my hernia repair, the entire midline incision looked like a trench because the area on eitehr side of it was so swollen. A couple of weeks later it looked fine.

I've got one the opposite. I'm pretty sure a singular stitch got left in the drain incision that's left me with a lump 😏 that's me, gotta buck the trend!
