I had a great morning, went for a blood test this AM and driving home I was listening to Christian music. The road home follows a beautiful river, the sun was shining, birds chirping and God's handiwork was displayed everywhere. The best part is I can sing along and there's hardly ever anyone else on the road to have to endure my screeching!
So how's your day going? God bless! Karen

So sorry you've had to go thru this, it is heartbreaking I'm sure. I have a 4 yr.old great granddaughter and they are a very special age and usually wise beyond their years. My prayers are with you and your family, may God bless you with the same comfort Sami has!

Four year olds are very wise, and have a lot of faith.  When my youngest was four, I took him to my Uncle's funeral.  My Uncle was a believer.  As my son watched everyone crying, he asked me why they were crying when Uncle Walter was with Jesus?  I had not told him that, he just knew it.

I have since buried two brothers, which is not the same as losing a child, but found great comfort in that Psalm, because it shows how the Lord knows us intimately, and how we can't escape from His loving care.

It's okay that you wept through the praise and worship.  God is with us in our praise of Him, even in the tears.  I sometimes just cry during worship, even when not sad.

Hugs to you and your daughter.  My granddaughter will be four in June, and I just love that age, and that of her brother, who is 20 months old.  Such joys.

Hugs,
Trish

Samantha is 4.  It took us 15 years to receive the best blessing we could have asked for.  She knew  I was preg before I did, she told me that Jesus told her.  She stood in front of her sunday school class and told them what was going on, and told them about Jesus holding Charlie Jo.   Her teachers already knew and they wanted to make sure I knew what a blessing she was with what she told them.  Samantha named the baby last night.  We as a family would lay hands on my belly and pray.  We are going to try again.  On thurs when I first found out I called the church right away, after David.  It is a church of 2500 avg. many know us very well, like family.  I did go to church on Sunday I thought it was going to be tough to talk to everyone.  talking was okay with tears, it was the praise and worship.  It was very tough, four songs and a box of tissues, I did it, I had to.  Our faith in God is the only way we are going to get through this.  Thank you for your prayers.  I will look up the verse.

Our Glorious Hope

1 Corinthians 15:20-58

When we hear the word resurrection, most of us instantly think about Jesus rising from the dead, but His victory over the grave shows what will happen to us aswell. One day every believer who has died is
going to experience a bodily resurrection like His, and those who are alive when Christ returns will be changed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye.

One of the first questions that spring to our minds is, What am I going to look like? I can’t answer that specifically, but all I know is, you’re going to look as good as the Creator can make you. And that’s pretty good! These humble earthly bodies will be transformed into glorious bodies like His—minus the divinity, of course. Paul’s writings provide some hints about their characteristics: they are imperishable, glorious, powerful, and spiritual. As such, they will be fit for life in heaven. We’ll never again experience sin, sickness, pain, suffering, weakness, exhaustion, or death.

At times people ask me if we’ll be recognizable—that is, will we know our loved ones, and will they know us? Consider this: How could such powerful, glorious bodies be limited in this area if they are so much more advanced in every other way? I’m fully convinced that all our senses and mental abilities will be enhanced, not diminished.

A glorious future lies ahead of us, but the joy of a new body and a reunion with loved ones will be surpassed by the thrill of seeing Jesus. He is the One who made all this possible. Out of gratitude, let’s faithfully love and serve Him while we remain on this earth.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Oh Beverly,
My heart breaks for you right now.  I don't know how old your daughter is, but her faith is strong and will sustain her.  My daughter suffered a miscarriage in the first pregnancy she had.  I did not learn about it till a month or two later.  Broke my heart.  Now, she has two beautiful Munchkins that are my joy.

When I suffer loss, I find great comfort in Psalm 139.  Allow yourself to grieve this loss.  Allow your church friends to comfort you when the time is right.

I will pray for you in all of this.

Hugs,
Trish

I am glad I found this board I have been looking for a while.

I went to the doctor ( a good christian doctor I trust completerly) last Thurs and the untrasound had a really nice picture of the baby (10 weeks along), only prob. was there was no heartbeat.  The doctor asked me if I had a cold or virsus within the last two weeks.  I told him that I has strep throat about a week and half before.  He said there was no heartbeat and some of the virisuses that cause strep can cause the demise of the baby in the first trimester.  The other option was a genetic issue.  We waited until yest to verify there was no heartbeat and then a d/c tom.   I had no idea that could have been the cause.

He said he was going to do a suction d/c because it was less truma to the uterus and we could try again sooner than the other way.  Does anyone know anthing about that?

Sami wanted to be a big sister so badly we let her name it.  Advise from several friends who have been through the same thing.  The name is Charlie Jo, she is handeling it much better than Daddy and I .  She told her Sunday school class what was going on with the baby not having a heartbeat and that Jesus was holding her baby brother or sister.   I wish David and I could handle this like that.

Welcome to the new visitor hope you come by often! Good to see you back Trish I was starting to get concerned that you tootsies were worse. It's amazing how much pain those little toes can cause. I feel sorry for your sister because unless she's willing to diet and exercise she won't lose much. Myself I very much regret that I got the band because I've only lost 20-30 lbs depends on whether I've stayed on track. I will say I haven't regained but I really expected to lose alot more than that. I've just never been able to get steady restriction, I'm either too tight or too loose so I had my band emptied completely this week. It costs me $225 for a fill or unfill so I can't affored that everytime my band decides to change it's mind. The doc told me that unfortunately I'm in the 20% that they are finding can't handle the restriction because we are too sensitive to the pressure. So I guess I'll just stay fat and happy! As long as I have the Lord I'm good whether I'm skinny or fat!
Wish you could get your mom talked into going to the doc, lung problems can so easily turn into pneumonia or worse. Sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 rounds of meds before I can shake lung issues. Tell her I said she has to go! Yea that'll scare her, who the heck is that woman to tell me to go to the doctor! Take care and I'm praying for you!

That is indeed the ultimate comfort! Sure we dearly miss those who've gone on  but we should be happy for them because they probably feel sorry for us being here. They are in a wonderful place and we can only look forward to the day we can join them. I truely believe that sometimes God takes a person just to relieve their pain be it physical or mental.  Only He knows when the time is right.
