In a disaster it doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, brilliant or uneducated, healthy or a couch potato. In life the same thing applies, if you aren't saved it doesn't matter what your station in life is you still won't get to heaven. So be sure THE most important thing is taken care of first. Get right with God and the rest of life will take care of itself. God bless! Karen

Beth Moore has written two devotionals that I use. One is called "Breaking Free" and I forget the other. Both are excellent. Also, Rick Warren wrote a devotional based on his book "the Purpose Driven Life." I believe they are all available on Amazon.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Hi Karen,
Sorry this is late, and sorry I missed posting my devotion. I have been sick, and not on the computer much. I will get back to my devotions on Thursday for the group.

February 22nd is the anniversary of the death of my older brother. Three years ago, he died of blood clots after double knee surgery. He was 56 when God took Him home. I miss both of my brothers deeply, as my younger brother died four years ago, at the age of 40, again to blood clots. That is the reason I am so grateful I survived my clots.
God's love has gotten my family through these losses, especially my sis-in-law, and her kids. they are grown, but still young adults.
Appreciate your prayers.
Hugs,
Trish

It is long and it is the way I choose to remember my surgery and hospital visit.

Topic: Creation!
"In (God's) hand is the life of every living thing. Job 12:10 This is one of those subjects that can put my mind on spin cycle! Think about it, God created all living things, he created them from nothing! Sometimes I can barely create a recipe and still marvel at how a child is made and grown in our bodies! He created everything from the tiniest microbe to the huge whales and elephants. How, how did He do this?! Only the Living God could accomplish this, only He could know how to do it. He made each creature in a specific way so it would survive but also so it would be food for another creature. This is right up there with looking into the night sky and trying to fathom the size of the universe, spin cycle! This should give you fodder for a full days thoughts.
God bless! Karen

I use Our Daily Bread, it's non-denominational and doesn't charge for them(donation only). Go to rbc.org and see if there is a place to order them. I like them because they are fairly short but really give you something to think about. It's also simple enough you could even incorporate a chat with the kids about the daily subject.

I am praying you feel better soon! I hope the trip is enjoyable for you both!

Thanks for sharing. That is just what I needed to hear this morning. (Especially the part where He loves us no matter how stupid we are sometimes..lol.) I've already PB'd and it was my fault for eating something I shouldn't have. If this band is going to work and be a tool, than I have to not be a "tool".
Blessings,
