Topic: Morning devotional suggestions?
I was wondering if anyone could give me some morning (or whenever, really..lol) devotional suggestions? My little ones have been waking up earlier than usual and I would love to use those few minutes while they are eating breakfast, etc. to start my day off on a good foot. Thanks so much!

Blessings,
Tasha

Well, thank you!
I have felt exactly the same way about the pearls and swine.  I tried to be nice and sweet to them, but they are so full of bitterness that it spews out like volcanoes.  I finally have most of them blocked.   They don't realize that their taunts and tirades played right into my hands.  When I realized the ones that could not communicate appropriately, I just blocked them.
I was so surprised that they feel they can talk to us like they do, but I realize they fear us!  But it is not us, it is God.  Why aren't they persecuting other religions?   Because there is no power or life in them.   We have the power of Jesus Name and we are detested for it.
With every insult slung at me, I became the more determined to stand up for what I believe.
But, your  right about people to share with at home, too.  We need to light the corner of our world!

You have a way with words. I love the girdle simile!

Pride maybe, and independence.  Maybe its is a part of the old man, too.
I think I sometimes feel that my my problems would be too little to ask for help, although they feel so big to me.

Topic: Compassion
God's love for us is as wide as Christ's open arms on the cross. As parents we love and dote on our children. Can you even imagine the love God has for us? He sacrificed His only Son and continues to love us no matter what we do or how stupid we are sometimes. As much as I try I can never reach that level of love and compassion, I try to be loving then blam some snarky thought pops in my head. Just another reminder that only one perfect person walked this earth and I'm not that one! At least tho we will have that to look forward to once in Heaven. God bless! Karen

Ugh that's awful! The only time I have issues like that is when I eat too much sugar free stuff and then it's miserable. Could be IBS too. Whatever it is I'm praying it goes away so you can enjoy your trip, I know how much you look forward to it! Go Phillies!

By all means call your doc if this continues. Prayers are up for your quick recovery.

I have been battling some digestive problems for about 10 days now, and it is not improving.  It manifests itself with diarrhea so bad I soiled my panties one day, and the other night, I soiled my sheets in my sleep.  Not fun.  It also includes bad gas, and cramping, and nausea.  Sorry to be so graphic, but I thought fellow WLS friends would understand.

Anywho, I saw my doc today, and had to get to the lab to get specimen cups, and then home to go potty in a container, and then back to the lab with the specimens.  Then, my pharmacy did not have the Rx the doc wanted me to take, so I had to call around and find one that did.  Now, I am on the BRAT diet, bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.  I can also have Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup, because I can tolerate it.

So, I would appreciate prayers for a speedy recovery, because I am heading to Florida to see Spring Training for the Phillies, with my son.  It is his Christmas present to me.  I will only be there a few days, but don't want to be eating this special diet for the trip.

thanks,
Trish

I had my RNY open, but I am told that those who have it laproscopically experience pain on the left side, because that is where the doc has to insert the largest piece of equipment.  If it keeps up, call your surgeon.

In the meantime, you have my prayers.

Hugs,
Trish
