Hi...was just reading some responses to my giving glory to God for the miracles he is doing in my life (in main DS message board) and some were very unkind....I'm used to it but am GLAD that there are Christians here too!

We're more alike all the time! I got the cart before the horse too. Raised my daughter as a single parent for 8 years till I met hubby. Glad your daughter turned out so well. I thought mine would but actually she's turned her back on us and rarely has any contact. It's sad but my hubbie's daughter did the same thing tho hers was from drug use, we just couldn't put up with the insanity anymore. So this is technically my step grand daughter but we're so close she may as well have been a birth daughter. She always takes care of gram and gramps and let's us know how much she loves us. She moved in with us when she was 16 to get away from the drugs at home and to get clean herself. She's going on 5+years clean so we are very proud of her.

Prayers are on their way.  Your fear is normal, but remember that God is in control.  I spent time meditating on Psalm 139 in the months prior to my surgery, and it gave me a real sense of peace.

Prayers are up for you! It's going to be a big change in your life but with God by your side you can't go wrong!

I'm having Lap Band surgery on Wed, Feb 23 and since I am a born again christian I know the power of prayer.  Would you all please keep me in your thoughts and prayers?  Starting to get a little scared.
