I can say that as I have grown in my relationship and faith, and through tons of therapy working through my childhood experiences, my anxiety has dissipated, and I only have episodes of anxiety now, and they are infrequent. Before, it used to be a daily, all day experience.
What has been your experience with anxiety?

Big Anxieties, Little Faith
Stressful situations come in a variety of forms and intensities, and in this earthly existence, we will never be totally free of them. However, the important issue is, What are we going to do with our anxiety? If we let it dominate, fretfulness can become a way of life. But if we believe what the Bible says about God and His care for us, we will experience an awesome liberation from worry.
Do you sometimes doubt whether our heavenly Father really cares about the ordinary things that cause you anxiety? After all, He's got the entire universe to run, and your issues are so small in comparison. Consider how inconsequential birds and flowers are, yet Jesus says that the Father cares for them (Matt. 6:26). Don't you think you are worth much more to Him than they are?
At times we let ourselves get all worked up and stressed out because we're trying to change something that is beyond our control. Just as no one can add a single day to the length of his life, so there are some situations that we are powerless to alter. But the sovereign Ruler of the universe loves us and holds everything in His hands—including our stressful and seemingly out-of-control situations. Therefore, we have no reason to fret or fear.
Perhaps the biggest reason we worry is because we don't trust the Lord. Anxiety is no more than unbelief. The Bible is filled with God's promises to provide, but so often we doubt that He will. If you can trust Him for your eternal security, can't you also trust Him for your earthly needs?

Then, at tonight's meeting, I was talking to a woman whose daughter was murdered a little over two months ago. Her daughter had worked at the doggy daycamp I take my dog to. The daughter had relapsed on alcohol and drugs, and was murdered in the worst neighborhood in Philadelphia, where drugs are available on every corner. I spent about 20 minutes talking to her, because she is struggling to get sober, the pain of her daughter's death is just too unbearable. I told her that it's okay to cry, and she is supposed to grieve right now. I also gave her my number and told her to call me anytime she needs to talk. I have seen her at meetings before. I also suggested to might want to consider looking into inpatient treatment, and told her where she might be able to get help paying for it, since she does not have insurance.
These are the reasons I go to AA, and not just a Christian organization for my recovery. I can love people who are hurting, and pray for them, and pray for the opportunity to show them the source of my love, Jesus.

It is not just you. I retired, and find myself still having to schedule my devotions and Bible Study, because I can get easily distracted, between doctor appointments, and walking the dog, and my crafts, and cleaning...before I know it, I am in bed, wondering what I did with my day,a nd kicking myself because I did not do my Bible Study.
I think this is why so many people go on retreats. I used to go to a church that had them every Spring, and in addition to a great time in the Word, we also had some time for ourselves to spend time with the Lord. No TVs, or radios, or phones, well back then we did not have cell phones.
I need to disconnect myself from all the technology sometimes and spend more time in the Word.

I bring this up because of my devotion today (Prov. 4:5,6) about wisdom...... the comment said "Put the Word first and there will surely be glorious victories ahead"----
Blessings!

I used to think I had no choice in my behavior. I acted impulsively so much of my life. When the Lord taught me self-control, I changed to where I thought first, and then made the more excellent choice.
