Topic: Sorry I'm so late.

Argg couldn't get myself to wake up today. I know I have fibro and I'm begining to think I have the chronic fatigue that many of us get too. Anyway on to todays topic have you ever seen lions in Africa looking just lazy lolling around without a care in the world. Do you know why? It's because they have all they need and have no enemy stronger than them. So they don't have to stress or worry about their life. They have food, shelter and no one to bother them, they know with one bite any intruder is toast. That is how we should be as children of the Almighty God because He takes care of all of our needs too. We don't need to waste our time stressing and worrying because He has everything under control. IF we remember to hand our issues to him he already has the solution. Now it may not happen on our time schedule or even be what we think we need but if we surrender it to Him, He will give us the best answer for us. Now I know it's really hard to do that because as humans we just know we can take care of it without bothering God with our little problems. However that's just what he wants us to do, because to Him it's not a bother it's a way of praising Him, by trusting Him with our every woe. Then we too can appear lolling and lazy like the lions because we know everything is under the Almighty's control and that He already has the answer and is just waiting for us to give the problem to him.

I want to tell you all how thrilled I am by the new faces! It just warms my heart to see the Lord bringing all of you over here to join forces. Spread the word and invite everyone you know over here. We are here to help build up those who may be faltering because I would bet everyone of us ha**** that spot at least once in life. Come join us daily and watch your faith grow. If you have any prayer requests feel free to post them so we can pray for you. Likewise if you have a praise of something God has shown you or done for you post that too. I strongly believe that altho the men folk get alot of the acknowledgement in our lives, it is the women who are the strong back bone of most of life. God has given us a strength that is insurmountable. So stand tall and go out there and take on the world! Karen

We all go thru trials of our faith.  Remember the things the Lord has done in your life. Sometimes, making a list helps.   Also, this race is not the swift, but to the one that endures to the end.  May God bless you all!

I feel for you.......been there, done that.  I however found out that once I totally accepted that God and family was all I needed, HE brought a wonderful man into my life!!!  Took some time for HIM to work it all out and for me to be patient and trust HIM to know what and who was right for my life.  This is my first time to see this part of OH.......way to go!!!  We all need the support.  So glad a message was left on the LapBand board.

I am so delighted to see this forum, I have been enjoying OH until lately,  it seems there are so many antagonists out stirring up strife and chaos. I came to this forum for support not to argue or belittle others beliefs, so I thank you and I will be coming to this forum daily.

I'm so excited to see so many new faces already!! Warms my heart, I wasn't sure about stepping out here but God just kept bugging me to get this forum active again. As I said before I'm not trained by any means, I've taught Sunday School classes to adult women but they had a note book to tell me what to do! I'm using The Daily Bread by RBC Ministries as a subject for discussion so other than that it's the Bible according to Karen but I'm not going to push any one type of scripture or ideaology. I just want this to be a place for us weary Christians to feel safe in speaking and to look to the rest of us for help and support when needed. So welcome one and all. We may get some non-Christian types that just want to argue or stir up trouble. I would urge you to disregard their posts and not to reply to them as this just fuels the fire and gives them what they are looking for. I guarantee if we ignore them they will go away. Everyone else we welcome you!

Well, to answer the post about Fast food scripture, I was skimming and had to put the laptop away until the kids were in bed. I didn't even know what the topic was until just now! lol.

I am in a spot of losing my faith. I'm not sure how to get it back. That's a lie I think it starts with daily readings and I just haven't gotten back to it. Hubby is sick and I'm in the 'why us' phase. I have three small children and am a teacher.

Thanks for getting the board moving.
