6 days post op - maybe a little dehydrated?

My surgery and recovery have been excellent until my travel day yesterday.  Today I am feeling like I got behind on my fluids but I don't know how best to catch up.  I feel full and thirsty at the same time!

Any suggestions for getting back to "juicy?"

Congratulations on getting your surgery done!

Staying hydrated post-op can be difficult, esp with travel thrown in. About all you can do is to keep some form of liquid with you at all times and remind yourself to sip on a frequent and regular basis. If one form of liquid doesn't work, try others, or try different temperatures, even different brands of water can make a difference.

And if none of that works and you feel dehydrated and crappy, take yourself to urgent care or the ER and get tanked up via IV. Not fun, but sometimes necessary.

Keep drinking the water... Only way to catch up.

keep drinking as best you can but if you are seriously dehydrated because you can't catch up, sometimes an IV is needed from the ER and that helps a lot.
