Small loss this week

Good Morning Everyone!

Sunday is my "official" weigh in day.  I knew this was going to be a bad week for loss (those darn pesky carbs!), but it could be worse.  I usually lose between 3 and 5 pounds a week, but this past week I only had a 2 pound loss.  I know a loss is a loss no matter how small, and I'm glad I DID have a loss, but I have to admit I am a bit disappointed it wasn't bigger. Lesson learned....stick with protein/veggies and stay away from carbs!!

Yep, stay away from the carbs, drink lots and lots of water, and keep moving throughout the day. Minus 2 isn't bad, and you may be more of a stair step loser, but just keep doing what you know you should. : )

Thanks Gina,

I just lost a bit of control this past week...was slipping into my old ways, but I have a handle on it now.  Today starts a new week and I'm looking at carbs as evil little monsters LOL.  I do admit I don't get in as much water as I should. I had no problem before surgery to get in way more than 64 oz, but since surgery I have a difficult time with it.  I do eat quite a few sugar free Popsicles which does add to the liquid intake but I've been trying and struggling to get it in through jus****er itself.

You might try adding some fresh squeezed lime juice in your water, just a small squirt, and sweeten with Splenda or Truvia. Early out I couldn't stand plain water, all I tasted was the chemicals in it.

I have been the same way. 3-5 most weeks, but there will be 2 pound weeks a few weeks in a row or even no loss. I'm still super happy with my loss and it will pick back up. I stressed about it as well, but I've learned those weeks will show up now and then and I just have to go with the flow.

Propel zero is a pretty good fluid replacement that adds a bit of flavor.

It is so very hard to not judge your progress by the scale. You might also want to take measurements. While you have pinpointed your eating for that week there will be weeks where you do everything right and don't see it on the scale. As I've gotten further along I find myself doing the "stair stepping" that Gina talked about. Several weeks of 0, 1, or 2 pounds loss followed by 5 or 6 pounds, with a few stalls along the way. I'm a little over 10 months and try not to make myself crazy with it. Time has shown that my DS ins't "broke" just resting.

I'm still mostly a protein guy but I do cream cheese with crackers and sometimes the crackers are just too much of a temptation.

It's good your keeping on top of it.

Yup! I do not deprive myself of carbs 100% and still drop weight. I like a few crackers on occasion.
