Added in a recumbent bike ride at the Y. 30 minutes, 6.8 miles. Followed by...you guessed it... the foam roller, some stretching, and ab work.
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Got up early to try and do a repeat of Saturday's workout.  Wasn't to be.  It was overcast when we started, and by the time we completed the 3-mile run it was time to jump on the bikes, but the skies were dripping.  We did about a mile before we decided that we didn't want to get drenched and called it quits.  I proceeded to the gym, and did 2 2-mile jaunts on the treadmill interspersed with two 30-minute spins.  Just not the same when you have to do in indoors.

Ran in a local 5k today sporting my new team shirt and finished in 28:33...which is a wicked PR for me!!

I kept a pretty good pace throughout, the last 1/2 mile was uphill but I knew that going in so I was ready for it.

I finished 33 out of 130 overall and I ended up 4th or 5th in my division - I was one or two people behind the woman who came in 3rd in my divisions (I can't remember if it was a guy between me and the woman who finshed 3rd or a girl)...so I was pretty pumped about that!!   I do wish that I pushed it a little harder up that hill at the end though...but I'm still STOKED about my time!!

I did an OWS with some new people in a new place. It was an okay place, but the water was a bit shallow for my tastes. Got in 1.61 miles though. I'm really close to being able to do 2.4 in 90 minutes too. Yeah!

I did an easy ten mile bike ride.  I wanted to test out my new clip on aero bars.  I used the bike ride as a recovery run.  It felt good.

Sunday is usually my day off, but we went to Adventure Island water park in Tampa, and my husband and I did a few laps around the lazy river, but we walked not on a float. I wouldn't have counted it, but add in all of the stairs to get to the tops of the slides... I am a bit sore today... I love when you get excercise without even knowing it!
