Injured
Seems like f-o-r-e-v-e-r since I have been here. Seven months into my injury and I had my first cortisone shot today. I am super stiff tonight. I am not allowed to do anything for 2 days, then light activity for the next 5. I am allowed to start a modified running schedule one week from tomorrow and I still have to go to PT 3 times a week. I have a torn hip labral and bursitis in my hip. Lovely. But I am moving forward. *If* in the next three weeks I do not have complete relief my doctor and I will talk about surgical options. Short and sweet but not letting it beat me.
So sorry to hear about your injuries. Best of luck and I hope you feel better soon. Love your upbeat attitude!
Good luck.

Good luck with that. I went thru 3 specialists before I got one that went in and fixed my hip problems in March 09. It was a great relief. Mine started hurting Oct 08 and by December I had to use a crutch to walk. All total, I was off the road a total of 8 months total (1 month after surgery) before I got back jogging. If the shots don't get you r relief, don't be too patient with the physical therapy route. I recommend the laproscopic surgery. Its a wonderful thing!!!
Injuries suck. I've been dealing with this calf tear for over 7 months now. Stupid insurance won't give me any more PT visits until Aug. 1st either.
