Vineman 70.3 completed. Real race report pending
Race is over, I completed the 70.3 vineman today. I'm tired and I hurt everywhere. My blisters have blisters, and my little toes have no skin left on them. The swim went exactly as I expected, the bike did too.
The run sucked a whole lot of ass. I cramped up 1/2 mile into the run and was relegated to running the downhills and walking everything else. Every time I tried to run, my legs would cramp up again. Oh well live and learn. A few days rest and contemplation. I'll have a race report up on my blog in a couple days.Scott
The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Congrats on finishing!
Sorry the run sucked for you, but you gutted it out!

Lots of people would have given up, but you didn't. You can't control your body 100%. You can just deal with what it throws at you.

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning inAfrica , a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Scott,
I know there was a lot built up about this event and you've been thinking about it for a long time.
CONGRATS ON FINISHING A DAMN HARD RACE!!! That's what shows everyone (including yourself) just what you're made of.
I'll be interested in reading your race report when you get it up.
Great job Scott!
