Which exercises can I do that will help me tighten my thighs, butt, and abdomen, before my surgery on 9/10?

Thanks!

Well you can't really "spot reduce". Also, the most important thing for a pre-op is to improve cardio-vascular functioning. This will make your operation safer.

So I'd say: do a lot of cardio.

I started walking and started going to the gym to ride the stationary bike. My program recommends cardio four days a week pre-op. Post up they say 4 days a week of a combo of cardio and strength training as a minimum workout schedule.

This won't help spot reduce but every trainer you work with will tell you need to strenghten the big core muscles.   Pre-surgery (7 years ago) my trainer had me do a 45-minute non-stop weight and k-ball session.  The best one is to put a k-ball on a wall and with your back against the ball just squat rolling the ball up your back, repeat 10-15 times.  When you stop.  Take a 5-minute brisk walk.  Repeat with the ball.  This will strengthen your legs, butt, etal.  You can do this with 5-pound weights as you feel more comfortable.  Good luck with your surgery.  Movement is key to success.
