I'm on week 7 of the Couch to 5k program. I'm not having a problem with the time of running just way short on distance. Should be running 2.5 miles and only running 1.9 miles right now. Should I simply start jogging the 5k now and not worry about the time or stay on the program and not feel ready to finish the 5k on the 3rd? I feel I could definatly jog the whole 5k it just might take me the better part of an afternoon.....ok more like about 45- 60 minutes. Anyadvise is appreciated.

BTW thanks Andrew for inviting me to this board.

Don't change anything, finish the program.
I think the speed that is necessary to finish the 5k in 30 minutes is right about 6 mph.
If you aren't doing that, it's no big deal.  The goal really is to be able to go 5k, not about how fast you go 5k.

You can always do the program again at a faster pace the next time.
The only change I would make is if you feel like you should be at 2.5 miles, just do another cycle or two of the intervals.  Remember the program isn't a race to the finish, if it takes you 3 weeks longer to complete it, then it takes 3 weeks longer.

congrats on being at week 7

Just fini**** The time you set in your 1st is just the time you need to better in the 2nd one. Have fun and enjoy it , after you finish you'll be proud no matter how long it took.
