Awesome job,

Stick with that goal, run that friend down, you can do it.

Celebrate, rest and recover then get back to it.  You did great

LOL!!!  Thanks Scott - yep - I wanna run her azz DOWN one day! Not that she's competitive at all - just cause I HAVE to be the best!

Congrats! You did great! An 8 minute improvement is huge! No matter what your time is,and no matter when you finished, you went out there and did it, you covered 13.1 miles that morning, which is a lot more than 99.9% of the people in the San Antonio area did that morning. Awesome! Even though you're sore I'm sure you are looking forward to the next one.

Congrats on finishing at San Antonio!  Don't worry about the time - there were over 3000 people behind you!!!!  I've got a feeling you'll beat your friend next time out!

I know what you mean about being competitive.  I completed my first half in Detroit four weeks ago with a perfectly horrendous time of 3:18.  I did lose 16 minutes waiting for a port-a-potty in Canada, but still....

I signed up for the White Rock Half here in Dallas on December 5.  I REALLY want to break three hours.  Eighteen months ago, I weighed 442, and have lost 189 pounds since.  The fact that folks like us can do this at all is pretty amazing if you think about it!

Congrats again on a job VERY well done!

3:18 is SOOOO not a horrendous time!

OMG - I swear I would LOVE to run that race with you but I know I won't be ready by 12/5.  DO your thing!!!!!!

My pre-surgery weight was 386 - I completely understand you - WE are amazing!!!!!

That one MIGHT fit in my plans...I'm thinking about doing a full marathon next Spring, either New Orleans on February 13 (a REAL stretch from where I am now) or the Big D in early April.  If I do the Big D, the Rock n Roll Half would be a good tuneup.  Send me a message and we can talk....

P.S. Your other blog makes for some very interesting reading!
