Sorry guys this is NOT about the band. I'm seriously looking into trying to work from home, but have come across some serious RIP OFFS! I was just hoping somebody might know of an opportunity. Thanks in advance for any responses to this post. ~Michele~

I don't have any helpful info for you, but will be watching this thread as I too am interested in finding something like that. Anita

Thanks for your reply, but I should clarify. I'm not interested in anything I have to sell. But thanks for the input. ~Michele~

Hi Michele, I too am looking for a work from home company and have come across some that I just sound too good to be true. Not sure if they are rip offs or not because I didn't take the time to invest my money..LOL But, I was on careerbuilder.com last night and came across a work from home opportunity for medical transcriptionist. The ad did mention having to invest any of your own money upfront and that they would train you. The ad seemed very honest as well for example it didn't promise that you'd make 100K a year up front or at all. It said you'd start out slow around $500 extra a month but, you could earn more once you had more experience. I have the link saved so if you'll send me your email address I'll forward it to you if you'd like to look at it. ~~Cassie~~ :jump::jump:

The only INTERESTING ones I've heard of lately are selling upscale (sort of) dog treats, clothing, toys and products (pupperware, let's call it) . . . and a company that sells . . . . um . . . "adult" treats, clothing, toys and products for ladies. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of either company, but I'd sure love to go to one of the parties!! Bette

Thank You Bette! I've been to one of those parties...and they are fun! Might have to think that one over. ~Michele~

hi michele i am wondering the same thing after being off for 3 weeks ( i teach special ed. ) and having to go back to work on monday and tuesday, then out wed. thru fri. for surgery! the only things i have thought of would be tutoring ( i have a Master's in Special Education EBD/LBD) where i have heard people can charge 30-40 bucks an hour! also, anything computer related, even a personal assistant via the web!!! that would be cool, but to get started??? who knows! i will keep up with this post for sure though! karly

My wife has been looking for this for three years now. As far as I can see, the only work from home things are sales in nature, Avon, etc. And YES, there are a LOT of "Rip-offs" out there. The best way to tell if it's a rip-off is if you have to give them ANY money "Up-Front", if so, it's most likely a rip-off.

That is so true Wendell! When I see that I may have to give up some MONEY, I know it's a scam! Thanks for responding. ~Michele~
