When were you able to eat breads & pasta?
So far, never. I was able to eat them as a new post-op, but the more fill I got in my band, the less I could tolerate them. They almost always get stuck, so I don't eat them now.
But my band is quite fickle. Even though I have great restriction (at 18 mos post-op), I can eat some foods (like scrambled eggs) now that I couldn't eat earlier on, when I had less fill in my band.

I am a firm believer in the "don't try to eat what you know your body doesn't really need" idea.
So, I can eat brown rice, whole grain pasta (very very carefully and only a couple of teaspoons worth).
I don't do white pasta, white rice, or regular potatoes except on rare occasions. I can technically eat a bite or two, but generally don't bother.
BREAD - none, ever, they wanted me to try healthy bread, I did twice, thin and toasted and it was a No-go, I am not going to try a third time.
I am pleased that the band makes those choices easier for me not to eat.

I am only 6 weeks out and have had one fill and I just don't even try bread. It may go down OK, but it sits like a brick and actually hurts. I will eat Wasa crackers for a bread fix and I also can do a corn tortila, but I don't do pasta or rice. My weight loss is rather slow, so I just figure no bread or white carbs is est anyway.
I was just told by the Nut at my 6 week check up that I can have them at 6 weeks. I had pizza the night before my first fill. But, the pizza I had isn't like the chains. It is a very, very thin almost toasted crust. It also has tons of topping. It was no problem, unfortunately. (I was hoping it would be a problem)
