For the Federal employees sake this BS needs to end. Like you said they don't give a damn about the Country and IMHO are only watching out for themselves. With at least 5 Democrats already announcing, or jockeying to announce, a run for the White House I'm afraid the rancor will only get worse over next two years.
Wife smart woman! Handed the kiddos over to you and went out to shovel snow to reduce her stress. May still be her motivation for shoveling.
My most memorable ice fishing experience is related to watching Grumpier Old Men!

Sunny day here near Cleveland. Got a few inches of snow dumped lastnight. I'll get out and shovel it just for the exercise. Been pulling up carpeting and painting my daughters room most of the week, Third week of furlough, no paycheck. Goddamn ******** can't work together, and don't give a damn about the country.Been all over the map with my daily weight, but today is the one that counts. Ouch. I have noticed I am not drinking much water since I've been home. Going to work on that this week.
Good week to all!
Snowy day here in Chicago. We got about 5 inches. My wife actually did the shoveling. Its a carryover from when my sons were young and she would do anything to get a break from them. As soon as she saw me come home she would hand the boys to me and head outside to do whatever yard work needed to be done. At this point the kids pretty much take care of themselves but she is still in the habit of shoveling.
I was signed up for an ice fishing tournament with my boys this weekend but it was cancelled on account of thin ice and rescheduled until February. We did it last year and had a lot of fun. Had more insulation back then though.

Cowboys season ended last night in the Coliseum losing to the Rams. Have to go to the NFL team of my youth having spent my grade school years there when Eli and Payton's Dad played for them. Go Saints!

Down 30 lbs. since surgery (11/26) and 80 lbs. overall.
I haven't experienced regain, but my losses are definitely slowing. I'm only averaging 1000-1100 calories daily and working out 5-6 days a week. I've read that if you are exercising regulatory and not getting enough calories daily, then your weigh loss will slow significantly. Is there any truth to this?

Furnace quit working Saturday night so I've been doing battle with that. Have a couple more things to try tomorrow before throwing in the towel and calling a pro. Recovery is going well enough. I need to get my exercise amounts bumped up so I'm hopefully not dying when I get back to work.

Cowboy fans happy campers today after their win over Seattle. Dak Prescott played very well.
Watching Baltimore and LA Chargers. No dog in the fight but would like to see Baltimore pull it out.
REGAIN!! I am not doctor. I do not play one on TV. Any medical advise I share - consider the source and take it with a grain of salt This is dirty socks and skivvies information!
1. Old habits sneak back in. Eating crappy foods to excess and not staying active. I eat crap. Crap equal chips and sweets. Majority are Sugar Free but GF and I will share a cookie from Starbucks or Schlotzsky's more often than we probably should. Do my best to stay active, to wit my five miles on the treadmill, but not today. Got to feeling like I was fixing to blow chunks so stopped at four. Because of going out to do older brother's birthday supper tonight Instead of doing it at the normal time in the afternoon I walked earlier than normal.
2. Thinking the surgery "failed". Sorry but the surgery did not fail you. You failed it! See 1 above. Yes, sleeves/DS's can somewhat expand, bands slip and RNY's can be eaten past with fatty or sugary foods if you are of the 60% who don't dump.
3. Evolution. We may be modern age people but our bodies are of a stone age design. It is in our genetics for our bodies to adapt to adverse conditions.
Personally, I'm still at or near the original goal of 185. Been there going on ten years. Yes, I was down to 165 but it was at 18 months out and after my gall bladder was removed. Tried for the longest to keep it 170/175 or less. Was doing okay till X2 came into picture. For a RNY she ate like **** Ideally want to get back to 180 and stay there. Said that a year ago too and didn't make it. I endeavor to persevere.
Have a Great week!
