We went down to Ames to see Baylor and Iowa State play this weekend. It was freezing. Good place to watch a game though, good sightlines and friendly people (at least until the on-field fights started). I've been flying so much for work that I drove down. It's a 315 mile drive each way so about 5 1/2 hours including stops for gas and bathroom breaks. My daughter flew up from Dallas.

Week more "normal" with regards to exercise and eating. GF's firm doing lots of school audits so she is putting in some full days leaving me time in afternoon to walk. Kind of boring now election is over and thank goodness it is. Can't yell 'bull****" at the political commercials!

Went to a Mississippi State/Alabama game watching party in Tyler yesterday afternoon. Unbeknownst to alumni chapter president who procured the venue instead of the usual isolated space we normally get we were stuck in the main room. With the band hired by the veteran's group who was also there. Not much to ring our cowbells about so we left at half time and finished rest of shopping we had planned. Arkansas in Starkville next Saturday for last home game of the season so one more road trip. Day game, 11:00 kick-off, so GF is rearranging post game accommodations to allow us to get a little ways down the road to reduce travel expenses.
