Topic: no more Xs!
i havent posted in a while because I had a double surgery about a month ago and it took me out of the gym for 6 weeks (1 week prior was painful b/c i couldnt take ANY meds) durring that time i had done everythign wrong, ate when i wasnt hungry, ate bad foods, ate more than i needed, too tired to exercise ect... (sorry I HAVE to be accountable somewhere so i guess i will be here)  and gained back 20lbs!
most of that i have gathered HAD to be water weight b/c i lost it tooo fast (within a week!) of being back to the gym, and watching what i eat. BUT heres what I did notice when i was folding my laundry..... no more Xs, no more XXLs, 2XL, 1X no more XL even! the few pants that i have that are XLs were in the load meant for donation

I am so fired up! I have not been in "L" size clothes since highschool!!! I have a dress that I baught for me to wear on my birhtday (Oct) in a size M, it might be too big by then! im so hyped right now!

Yes is is really sad to think about all the kids that don't have dads at home or even the kids that never knew their dad. I was thinking about that this morning when my little girl was watching PBS and it was a show talking about "My Dad." I thought, I wondered how many kids saw that today and felt sad they didn't have a dad to spend time with.

Here is another tear jerker- On the Today Show they did a profile of Al Roker, Savanna Guthrie, and Tameron Hall's fathers. All of their dads had passed away and I just burst into tears! Tameron's dad passed away just three years ago and Savanna's dad passed away when she was 16 yrs old. Makes me so grateful for my dad and for the good dad my husband has been to our little girl.

20 lb's in 3 months is a great acomplishment! you know as well as I do that we could easily gain 20 lb's in 3 months! and then you would be saying I cant believe I gained sooo much weight in only 3 months! its all in your perspective! you have done great! remember this is life not a race! the weight will all come off just dont stop doing the right thing!

Well, as for our weekend plans my hubby got the sickness the kids had and is home in bed, providing I dont get it next, We plan to BBQ for fathers day, I wanted to bake cookies with the kids for my dad, my father in law and my husband, we should do this tomorrow morning, I got my husband a couple of cool gifts for fathers day, and I will probably have the kids make him some cards and stuff, which now that he is home sick will be a little more challenging to get done, I can't believe in either of my older kids classes (they don't go on summer break til june 27th) the teachers did not have  them make anything as fathers day gifts, I think thats really sad! probably because of the amount of children who dont have a dad in the home, thats the only thing I can think of, its just doesnt seem right though?!

Oh well!

I'm so glad it's Friday, you?? Today I'm officially down 20 pounds! I'm happy but part of me is depressed that it took three solid months to lose it. It's better than being the same or gaining, but still a bit slow. Will it take another three months to lose 20 more? Will things slow down to where I'll be kicking myself for being a little disappointed today? Anyways... how's your day going? Any weekend plans?

If you can go visit her, DO! it is beautiful there! I would love to move there and go on hikes all the time myself! not sure about summer plans we may put our youngest in swin lessons this year, and while she is in her lesson the rest of the family gets a passs to swim at the university where the lessons are held, other than that not much on the calendar, My Son turns 12 in August! I cant believe it and he is already talking about having a sleep over with a few boys, they did this last year when he turned 11 and my living room was covered in shaveing cream and they stayed up all night eating junk food and making videos of them pranking each other! good times!

One of my best friends from college moved to Portland from Austin. She loves it there. Physically I would love to be at her fitness level. She isn't too skinny, yet is very fit. She goes on hikes all of the time and I'm sure she knows of that place. I'll have to ask her next time I talk with her!! I had plans to visit there, but it's really a long trip (even by air) from NC! Someday....

Do the kids have activities planned for the summer?

Today is one of those over scheduled days! I am going to three activities in one day today. Most weeks I don't do more than three play dates. Eeek. Splashpad was this morning bright and early at 9:00 am (the place was a drive from our house). Next up is swim class this afternoon. Then mommy book club tonight. Oh gosh I'm tired just typing it all. Two of our book club members are new mothers since we all got together last month. I HOPE they bring the babies with them tonight.

Father's Day is this weekend. Anyone have plans or neat gift ideas? My hubby needs a pick-me-up. I'm getting him the super nice color Nook for Father's Day. He has NO idea.

Wow ladies! We are half way done with the week and half way done with the MONTH! I'm excited!

I'm hovering in the low 240's this week. It's TOM so the scale wont move at all this week. I'm excited to see what it shows once the water weight starts to fall off this weeekend.

I've been really active the past three weeks. My little girl was very sick all last summer. We never had time for 'fun' it seemed. I'm making up for all that lost fun! I'm in the gym twice a week, at mom/baby swim class twice a week, and doing free weights when I can at home.

How's your week going? What's your schedule look like these days?
