One of my friends uses Elizabeth Bathory as a pseudonym.  

Richard Ramirez was scary looking as hell.  I was living in Hawaii at the time of his murders, but my friends who lived in SoCal were all terrified.  For some reason he was targeting houses that were painted yellow.  He died not too long ago in Death Row from cancer.

 He'd been "off" since childhood when he tortured animals. Then his parents divorced and he was kind of "abandoned" and lived with his grandmother, who didn't really keep a tight rein on him. I suppose he had all sorts of freedom to run and do his crazy ****   I lived in Wisconsin most of my life and I remember the news stations going absolutely bonkers over his arrest. And the fact that the cops had really screwed up majorly. I mean, can you imagine? The one poor victim gets away from Dahmer and thinks he's going to be okay because he's found cops to help him and then Dahmer convinces the cops that the kid is his boyfriend and they make him go back to Dahmer's apartment where he kills him? That's horrifying, to say the least.
