That is the one I was referring too. The FBI said it a was a black guy because a white guy would stick out in that neighborhood.
Nice. I started my seeds indoors, and I have a small portable greenhouse that I'll put together & move my plants into once it's a bit warmer. We've had some really awesome days here lately, even 80 degrees one day, but yesterday and today are cold. It's 30 outside right now, but it's supposed to warm up again in the next few day and hopefully for good.
I hope to be able to move my stuff outside in the greenhouse around May 1. Planting in an open garden around here doesn't happen until May 15-June 1 depending on both the weather and what is being planted.
Spinach, swiss chard, and radishes will actually be planted around May 1.
I have an uncle who looks like Jeffrey Dahmer, which is VERY disconcerting. Seriously so. I assume he's not a serial killer, however. I'm not askin' him, though! No way, no how! What if he IS? Then what?! I'm screwed, that's what!
You know who else was Creep-city? Albert Fish. Yuck. Cannibalism is a special kind of screwed up. But he preferred children, which is even more evil.
And Richard Speck, too. He grew boobs in prison for "protection,"apparently. He became the guy who'd put out so he could stay alive. Yuck again.
Ottis Toole looks like the kind of person you'd suspect as being a serial killer.

My favorite is Ted Bundy - his charm, wit, and good looks were the perfect combo for his sick, sick mind. He fooled a true crime author (Ann Rule) who was actually investigating the serial murders committed by Ted when she worked next to him at a suicide prevention hotline. Add that to the fact that I, at one time in my life, fit his profile of victims - it gets crazy interesting to me.
My least favorite, simply because he is most scary to me, is Richard Ramirez, the Nightstalker. He attacked a couple in their home, which was located less than 3 miles from my house. I remember that summer like it was yesterday - it was mid-August, hot as hell, and no one could leave their windows or doors open because of the Nightstalker. Crazy, crazy scary. That dude was freakin' out of his mind.

They are big trees, we live in an older neighborhood. Our house was built in 1926. The only reason we took the one down is because it was coming down on it's own on windy days and hung over our house. A 40 foot long limb fell in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm two weeks after we moved in and crushed part of our fence & dung up my car. :( We were lucky, though that it wasn't part that was over the house. Fixing a roof would have been expensive.
Very interesting. John Wayne Gacy certainly loved him some fried foods.

Something you might find interesting... An artist named Henry Hargreaves has recreated and photographed the "last meals" of famous death-row inmates and created a series called "No Seconds." While not all serial killers, it's interesting to see a glimpse into the minds (or should I say "stomachs") of those on the Green Mile.
