Hi to all....

Wow this thread is really ,really wild. Ms. Raven, you didnt have to tell anybody your business. My mother always told me 'never let the right hand know what the left hand is doing". This a public form and some folks are very curious and then we end up off topic from the "real' ........supporting each other in any way. we can.....remember?

I am about 99.9 percent that they do not accept food coupons,but just call customer service and ask...simple

And as a heads up the US gives away more money, and food stamps to immigrants and folks who are not even Americans..thats one of the reasons we are BROKE....give to our own.

I don't have a problem with assistance programs. They are good for those who need it until they get back onto their feet. My friend has been waiting for unemployment. She was pregnant, on bedrest for 3 months and used her short term disability, then was laid off a week before giving birth. They have now canceled her benefits and she is waiting for unemployment. She is also using medicaid for the baby as well as WIC. When she gets back on her feet, she won't need it. Right now, she needs it.

Anyways, whatever idiot said that obesity is not a disease needs to read the nearest medical journal because yes it is a disease. Idiot.

I'm not sure why people are getting after her, you have no idea how she lives her life. If you don't like public assistance programs and how they are ran talk to your government officials don't get after people who are using them because they need to. I don't believe in people who abuse the system either, but someone using it when they truly need it is what it's there for. If you don't like the system, change it, don't attack those who you have no personal real knowledge of their lives. I'm all for helping someone get back on their feet so that they CAN work, rather than helping people who choose to stay on public assistance their whole lives. This forum is not really the place to attack someone about your personal views on public assistance, all she asked for was a little bit of help with a question and she specifically asked to not be flamed for it or to not hear your opinions on it, you could simply be respectful and respect her wishes, and your replies and her rebuttals in no way made her look unintelligent as you implied. You are entitled to your opinions as much as anyone else, but there is no reason to try to make someone feel bad just because you feel a certain way. There are many situations where someone truly needs some help and I'm glad that we help those in this country *****ally need it. Do I think there needs to be some reforms, sure, but do I think these needs apply to the OP, not at all, it's not my place to say because I don't know her personal life or her personal cir****tances and neither do you.

you know some of you people make me sick. This is supposed to be a community of support and encouragement. Not judgement and downright ***** behavior. ONE MORE TIME. IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS HOW SOMEONE PAYS FOR SOMETHING. SHE WORKED FOR MOST OF HER LIFE AND PAID INTO WELFARE. IF SHE NEEDS HELP THAT IS HER BUSINESS NOT YOURS WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN LIFE.
