Bariatric Surgery is in the media again. Today's episode of The Doctors television show included a portion on bariatric surgery. It is a couple, Tina and Randy, that had RNY together. Dr. Philip Schauer performed their surgery and was included in the episode.
Make sure to watch the episode tomorrow as they will be covering gastric bypass surgery and robotics.
I received this beautiful framed poem from my parents today as one of my birthday gifts & wanted to share it for the other animal lovers out there. I have had a dog in my life from the time I was a little girl til now & always plan to have them in my life.
Poem is entitled Dogs by Tim Tarrant
A dogs eyes are like deep pools to which there is no escape. Their pleading brow angles in such a way that their innocent needs melt even the coldest heart. Their love is unconditional, their loyalty legendary. We find a gentle and constant stability through sharing a simple walk and all they ask in return is a warm spot at your feet and in your life. In the end we find that regardless of their canine exterior, we will see them as one of the sweetest souls we ever knew even when they live only in our memory.

Ok, who's watching So You Think You Can Dance this season? I love, love, LOVE this show! The dancers are all so young, exuberant, beautiful and talented that I should feel totally jealous, but instead their joy as they perform their art is so damned infectious it's happy-making. Not to mention that Mary Murphy cracks me up! And I find out about all kinds of cool music from the choices the dancers make...it's win/win/win!
Come on, there has to be at least a few fans out there!

Awww...this touches my heart.
I have a small hobby farm and we raise goats - they really are "companion" animals. They get along so much better when they have a "friend"..
Thanks for posting this - Loved seeing the video.

A rescued goat and donkey were separated and went to different sanctuaries. The goat refused to eat and became depressed...but then the two friends were reunited.
