I've noticed three in the last 24 hours ...  it's all that deleting, blocking and deactivating that makes it necessary LOL!   I really don't see the point of blocking tons of people and then having a second account to read anyway - just unblock already ...

Some people (me included) have such an easily recognisable way of posting, it's easy to spot who they are - it's why I would be crap at the whole second account thing - I put too many "u"s in my spelling LOL!

Sock puppet definition:

Urban Dictionary

The most popular definition on Urban Dictionary is also the earliest, from 2003:

1. sock puppet

An account made on an internet message board, by a person who already has an account, for the purpose of posting more-or-less anonymously.

From the sound if it, I didn't miss much.

Thanks for noticing the weight loss. I'm just beginning to notice it myself. Unfortunately, the number seems impressive only because I had so much to lose in the first place.

Unless you're Alton Brown! His little yeast sock puppets on the episode about bread were hilarious, did you ever see that one?

As I said wasn't a frequent poster but truthfully I thought it had its place- i.e. somewhere for the vets to blow off a little steam when they were frustrated by seeing the same question for about the 1278th time just because some people didn't use the search button or read back quite a few pages. Better on rants and raves than on the original frustrating post.

It was dreadful. Be grateful you missed it.

Hey, that's some weight loss you have managed! Way to go!

OH closed R&R because of the quality of what was posted and it was public for anyone to see who chose to enter the forum.

So the group was made private so only those who join the group can read whatever- private groups are not moderated but they are closed.

The Off Topic forum was started instead, and it is moderated.

I've never seen this other site you all are talking about, but it sounds dreadful. What was the point of it?

So far I've found mostly support and encouragement. I'm glad I haven't run into any really bad apples.
