Oh yes, I really want to put in some raspberry bushes!
And seriously! Not having to buy asparagus in the store every week will be amazing!!!
That sounds great! I wish I had enough yard to put in raspberries or blackberries, but it'd get a bit crowded if I did.
I am most excited about the asparagus! Yum!
It disgusts and saddens me more than I can say. I guess I had convinced myself that our society had moved forward. But it really hasn't.

I garden. I got in over my head at one point so I backed way off. I'm starting again very slowly.
Right now I have radishes, artisan lettuce mix, spinach, and peas that have all sprouted. I've got chamomile, lavender, rosemary, oregano, basil, thyme, sage, cilantro, parsley, and yarrow growing. My strawberries have blossoms on them. I've got 8 blueberry bushes and blackberry brambles in the back of our property.
I will also be growing watermelon, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, several varieties of peppers, green beans, and zucchini. Everything else I need I will get at the farmer's market.
Next year I plan on starting an asparagus bed!

That's such a bizarre factoid!

Nic, I would just end up putting my fist through my monitor. No amount of Jay Smooth videos could possibly soothe me enough after that!

It's a huge topic of conversation among many online atheists, and has been for a couple of years now (Elevatorgate, anyone?) I follow many blogs that ensure safe spaces in their comments section, and it's always amazing to see people howling when their comments are banned and/or they're blocked because they're being jerks. It's something you can see on so many sites - atheism, humanism, social justice, feminism, anti-misogyny...the list just goes on. And it's always surprising to me, even though it shouldn't be, that people still don't understand the whole free speech thing as it relates to private enterprises.
