What insurance company do you have? and did they pay for your surgery or a portion? if so how much? thank you in advance!

also does OHIP cover Lapband? or anything doing with it?

I had my surgery through OHIP, completely paid in Toronto. As far as I know, OHIP does NOT at this time, cover the lap band. It is totally self-pay.

Neat - I checked out my Greenshield insurance (when I am working) and they cover plastic surgery, including tummy tucks for reconstructive surgery. I wonder if requesting the total body lift is pushing it??

Unfortunately, it does NOT cover anything (besides plastics) to do with weight loss.

My plan with Manulife won't even cover my scar dressings from after plastics even with a letter from my surgeon.

Lap band is not covered by OHIP. If you qualify OHIP will cover RNY and VSG.
Your family physician will have to send your info the the Central Registry.
Come on out to a support group meeting you will get lots of info.
We meet the last Sunday of the month at St Joe's hospital.
