Ottawa Orientation

Yeah that is a common complaint for sure.  They are 'usually ' pretty good with call backs, but they are overwhelmed for sure.
What is your s urgery date Kate?
I too called was tired of waiting for a phone call and I got my date right on the phone during that call.

My surgery is next Wednesday....April 13th, 2011....yeah yeah yeah yeah (feel like a little kid)

I had my orientation in Ottawa on February 25. We were told at our session that we would be looking at approximately 4 months before we got into see the nurse.

4 months!!!????!!!!  that's terrible!!!! 

My orientation in Ottawa was Feb 14th.  Since then one of the nurses (Carolyn) was going on a six week vacation, Dr. Yelle broke his arm and they put some of the people transferring to Humber through classes first.

I called because we were told 2 weeks at orientation to get the call for the nurse appointment and if we didn't hear to call.  I waited 6 weeks and called, reception told me another 4 weeks so somewhere around the end of April.

Sorry I don't have better news, the waiting sucks. I;m hoping they get things rolling again soon.

Thanks everyone.  I have been reading posts on hear ever since I heard the news that I would be going to the orientation.  I never felt like I ate a lot, and I do at least 4 hours of exercise each week now and never lose a pound.  This is my only option and I feel that the waiting is eating at my soul.  Do you know of anyone who has done the optifast for more than the 2-3 weeks prior to surgury?
