Urgent Scope booked for me Tomorrow

I guess my gig is up and I have to come clean regarding what may have been "caustic" remarks concerning the need for urgent scopes for "post-op" issues.  You see what some people appear to desperately want I have trying ardently to avoid. 

As many of you who know me are aware, my sleeve is more a green bean than the banana it's supposed to be.  The result has extremely high intra-gastric pressure which has led to issues with GERD and regurge.  The problem was so bad back in February that I needed to be scoped in the OR under a general anesthetic, and while the issue improved it was not completely resolved.  I have been on four different courses of medications since then.

I saw Dr. Hagen last Wednesday (27-APR) in the out-pt surgery. . .we discussed the issue. . .he said it sounded like I needed a scope.   I declined at the time but I was told to call "when I had changed my mind".  

The problem is I am speaking at a conference next week,  and have been feeling so lousy my work is way behind, and I really can't afford the time that a scope will take.  I sucked it up and called my Doctor Wednesday. . .I am having a repeat scope in the OR under a general anesthetic tomorrow.  I was given my choice of 0730 0r 1000, of course anyone who knows me also know that 0730 was not really an option for me.

So wish me luck tomorrow and I will resurface when the puke fest that I always enjoy post general has resolved.

You are a vet on this Board and you influence many with your opinion. Hopefully this will show others that it is OK or even a good idea to get medical treatment as soon as they feel they need it instead of suffering until they can't handle it anymore.

My darling Leona .....so sorry to hear you have been suffering like this ...I know how brave you are and how much you have gone through over the years with medical issues .. Let me know if there is any thing we can do for you sweetheart ...you have been a rock to me during my knee replacement surgery and pre op issues . Love you lots and looking forwards to having you over for a visit next Sunday . Hang in there my darling friend ..you can do this . We are all praying for a good out come .
