Hamilton (St. Joe`s) getting 3rd surgeon
When I was speaking with Dr. Hong yesterday, I asked about this. He confirmed that they are getting another surgeon, and in fact, he started training Monday. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a trend that all Centres will increase staffing and get this backlog cleared a bit.

That is great news Beth. I just got back from my appointment with Dr. Hong and will be in the class with you on June 2nd. I picked up my Optifast and other prescriptions and am just waiting for the call from Krista to give me my date.
It will be great to see more doctors doing this surgery as there are so many people waiting for their second lease on life.

That would be sweet! Nothing like moving things along! Any reduction in wait times would be well-received, for sure!

Thunder Bay is suposed to have a surgical site but are waiting for a surgeon .... hmmm maybe this new Dr is training to come up here.... I can only wish
Well since St Joes is our surgical site currently it would only make sense that they would train at that site. They have everything ready to go here at Thunder Bay regional so maybe this is the next step. But likely just another Dr at St Joes either way it is good news
