Dear Hair,

Every since I came into this world, you have been there with me.  We've been through a lot of stuff.  There have been good times; remember that cute angled bob, or the time we went blond, just for the heck of it?  There were also bad times; I am so sorry about that perm...who knew? And the crimping? Thanks goodness that was just a fad.  Together we have combed, spritzed, fluffed, waved, curled,  feathered, and teased.  We have done it all.  So you can imagine my deep disappointment to see that you have decided to throw our relationship away so abruptly.  Each day I look in the mirror, I can see that we are drifting father and farther apart.  The space between us grows with every passing day and it saddens me.  I miss you. Please, please, please come back.

Thank you for "paying your respects".  Seriously though, I eat every bit of protein that they've told me to.  I have  also taken extra zinc.  I think there is nothing I can do really but wait it out.  The nut said that once I am out of rapid weightloss, I should see improvement- not that I want to be out of that phase anytime soon.  I still have 80 pounds I'd like to loose!

 my hairdresser assures me it will come back better than before. Just think of it as taking a holiday. this is one of my biggest fears too...am thin already......oh boy!...lol

Hair is just hair. No big deal.  In the grand perspective of things, a new healthier you is worth any hair loss.  No amount of protein will fix it, or any shampoo.   It will grow back.  I promise.

read about the telogen phase.   You cannot fool the great Maker on this one.  Your body is meant to function in one way.   People lose hair for many reasons, major surgery and pregnancy are two ways.  Your hair will come back, and it maybe different in texture than when it started.  Seems to happen.  Some people never seem to lose.. curse them! lol.   Just know, you are not weird.  And it will grow back.  Find a fun summer hat to cover your head, and away you go girl!   :)
The change in your health is worth every single hair that falls out.  Promise.

I too share your pain and have been experiencing separation anxiety. But this too shall pass and before you know it this will just be another phase we went through.

Awesome letter lol!! It'll come back better than before, my sister had DS in 2007 and I remember braiding her hair for her as it was growing back, I was so jealous as it was super soft and perfect!
